RUSSELL ATKINS

Russell is a 1989 graduate from the Purdue University School of Engineering and Technology and has been a Registered Engineer for 23 years. He started his career as a T&D Engineer at PSI Energy. He went on to eventually serve as Vice President of Engineering at Duke Energy in 2010 and at NIPSCO in 2015. In 2018, Russell's passion to serve more customers in the utility industry led him to start UTS Engineering. Collectively, Russell has a combined experience of over 30 years in the electric utility space working for multiple utility companies in a variety of geographic areas.

Russell’s extensive resume includes a variety of experiences, such as T&D Engineering, Engineering Standards Development, Regulatory Planning and Strategy, Capital Improvement Plan Development and Expert Witness.

Russell likes to spend his free time outdoors with his family, whether that be on the water in Lake Cumberland, KY, on the slopes in Vail, CO, or fishing at Eagle Lake, ON.
